Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
To be sure, we need to help others in journey of faith. Sometimes this means that we tell others when they are doing something wrong. But we cannot do that if we are not living a faithul life ourselves. If we are not living a faithful life then our idea about what a faithful life is is going to be tainted. We will not know, because of our own sin and shortcoming, what holiness is, so we will not be able to help others in their attempt to live a holy life. We are directed to help others in their journey of faith, but we need to make sure we are in good shape first. God bless you.
