Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Annas is sort of on the right track here. He knows that it is a good idea for one man to die for many, but he did not recognize all that Jesus' death would mean. Jesus does, in fact, die for the good of many. But the reason Jesus' death means so much is because Jesus' death has taken away all of our sin. Jesus died for the greater good, and the greater good is our salvation. Annas knows it is good for one person to die for the benefit of many, and that is exactly what happens to Jesus. God bless you.
