Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
"Then the people of Israel—the priests, the Levites and the rest of the exiles—celebrated the dedication of the house of God with joy." The Israelites could have taken this opportunity to praise their own greatness. God gave them the opportunity to rebuild the Temple, but they are the ones who actually got the job done. They could have taken this time to celebrate themselves. But they know God is responsible for this blessing. The Israelites know that all good things come from God, and when good things come it is right to give God thanks and praise. When we receive blessings, and we have all received many blessings, we need to celebrate with joy; we need to praise God for all the blessings he has given to us. Remember the source of our blessings and praise Him for them. God bless you.
