Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Paul briefly mentions here the fact that when he was first in trouble everyone, all of his friends and associates, deserted him. Paul also mentions, though, that God was with him and helped him through that time in his life. There are going to be times in all of our lives when we are, or feel, abandoned. During those times it may be hard to believe that God is there; that God cares. I encourage you to remember these words from Paul: "But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength." Keep those words close to your heart. When everyone else has left you, God will be with you. God bless you.
