Idol worship was a problem for Israel. It began at Mt. Sinai, mere minutes after God delivered them from the hands of the Egyptians. It continued throughout the rest of the Bible. Time and again Israel would fall into idol worship, turning their back on God, forgetting all God has done. Israel suffered greatly for this, and a lot of it came by their own hands. Do we worship idols? Sure we do: computers, televisions, money, cars, jobs, sports teams, clothes, and the list goes on and on. We need to learn from Israel's mistakes: nothing, absolutely nothing, can replace God. Furthermore, idols only lead to trouble. So let us all be faithful in avoiding idol worship at all costs. God bless you.
