Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.
"How can I [know what the scriptures mean]," he said, "unless someone explains it to me?" If there was ever a passage to motivate us to share with people the good new of Jesus, this is it. Sometimes we may think everyone knows who Jesus is; sometimes we may think we don't need to go out and share with people the good news of Jesus Christ. This passage is a pretty big statement against that. Our friends, our neighbors, and even our enemies may not know anything about Jesus. It is our calling to tell them about Jesus. We are called to share our faith and bring to others the good news, because they may not hear about Jesus any other way. Can you imagine the look of joy on the Ethiopian's face when he heard the good news from Philip? We can bring that smile to others' faces when we teach them the good news of Jesus Christ.
